The Evans Policy Analysis and Research group (EPAR) at the University of Washington has, since 2008, provided evidence reviews, data and statistical analyses, and policy analysis in support of decision-making for investments into improving the lives of vulnerable individuals in South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. EPAR’s work concerns the well-being of rural and agricultural households and farming systems, and three core streams of research and analysis:  gender, adoption, and measurement. Within the ECWG, EPAR focuses on the evidence base particularly relevant to female farmers, conditions specific to agricultural livelihoods, and digital technologies.
