AIR’s mission is to conduct and apply the best behavioral and social science research and evaluation towards improving people's lives, with a special emphasis on the disadvantaged. AIR’s International Research and Evaluation department conducts and applies rigorous research and evaluation that is characterized by rigorous designs that enable causal claims, emphasize the theory of change, and use mixed methods to examine program effectiveness and fidelity of implementation.
